Change "checkin" usage to "check_in".
Update URL parameters to the "_id" form.
Add support to checkout and check in multiple documents.
Optimize queries that used an ID list of documents for
filtering using values_list('pk', flat=True). These
queries now use .values('pk') as a subquery.
Add pre save hooks to block new document version uploads.

Instead of inserting the path of the apps into the Python app,
the apps are now referenced by their full import path.
This app name claves with external or native Python libraries.
Example: Mayan statistics app vs. Python new statistics library.
Every app reference is now prepended with 'mayan.apps'.
Existing config.yml files need to be updated manually.
